Reporting for another day of duty, Leighton Meester was spotted outside the Carlyle Hotel in New York City this morning (February 18).

The CW babe was busy filming scenes for her hit show Gossip Girl, sporting a cream colored coat over a red dress with beige heels.

The mother of Leighton Meester "threatened to kill" one of the Gossip Girl star's former pals, Radar Online has exclusively learned.

Laurel Wiig won a restraining order against Constance Meester, the actress' manager, after an ugly confrontation on January 21 in which she threatened to "hunt down and kill" and "f*ck up" the woman.

A Los Angeles judge ordered Constance, 55, to stay 100 yards away from Wiig.

"She is an addict and had made a threat to kill," Constance wrote in the court papers, obtained exclusively by Radar Online.

Constance gave birth to her daughter while doing time in a Texas prison after being nabbed in a drug ring, as the National Enquirer first revealed.

She was convicted in Georgia as part of an aunt's drug ring that smuggled thousands of pounds of marijuana from Jamaica to the United States.

Authorities said the operation netted $250 million a year.

Leighton's mom was sentenced to 10 years in prison and began serving time on August 8, 1985, while pregnant with the future TV star.

Leighton Meester was the center of attention last night at her Nylon cover party in New York City. The "Gossip Girl" actress looked cute in Proenza Schouler as she arrived to the W Hotel Downtown for the swanky magazine fete held in her honor.

Leighton Meester found herself in the envious position of being serenaded by none other than Prince on Tuesday night when His Purple Highness pulled her onstage during his concert at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

Country Strong costars Leighton Meester and Garrett Hedlund may be making their onscreen romance a reality.

Whooping it up after the Golden Globes at HBO's party held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel's Circa 55 eatery, Meester, 24, and Hedlund, 26, were "inseparable the entire night," a partygoer tells Us Magazine exclusively.

As the duo chatted, "Garret wrapped his arm around her," the observer says. "She wraps her arm completely around his neck and pulls him for a quick peck on the lips."

When the pair called it a night, Hedlund was "massaging her shoulders" as they exited together.

Meester split with Gossip Girl costar Sebastian Stan last year and told Allure she wasn't a fan of playing the field.

"I don't see the point in dating," the star said. "I hate it. It's wonderful to be in love. And it's definitely wonderful to cuddle and have sex and get to experience life with somebody. But it's OK if you don’t find him and you're 24. You can find it someday."

She’s been busy promoting her new film “Country Strong,” and Leighton Meester paid a visit to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” earlier this week.

The “Gossip Girl” hottie looked absolutely fabulous as she walked out on stage in a leggy grey sleeveless dress with matching heels.

During the course of her interview, Leighton divulged that she grew up in Marco Island, Florida- far from the bright lights of Tinseltown.

Miss Meester also explained that she got started acting at a young age. “I started acting in musicals and plays in my hometown when I was 10, moved to New York when I was 11 and moved here (Los Angeles) when I was 14.”

Romance hasn't come easy for Leighton Meester over the years – and that's okay with her.

"I think that the importance of love is really strong for me in my life, whether it's a guy or a friend or just my puppy," the Gossip Girl actress, who also stars in Country Strong, tells February's Seventeen, on newsstands Jan. 4. "I think love changes you over time, and whether you have good or bad experiences, you always grow and learn from it."

Still, Meester, 24, admits to some trouble finding the right fit in a romantic relationship.

"I've never really liked anybody before. Even when I would date guys, it would sort of be on the surface and it was always a relief when we broke up," she says.

Asked about her relationship with costar and ex-boyfriend Sebastian Stan, she says, "I've only had one experience where it was really hard and I was really sad when it ended, but that's what taught me a lot about myself and love and life – and that's good."

Despite the heartbreak, Meester believes in love. "If I shut love down or didn't let it in, I would just be this really cold, sad person," she adds.

Most of us know her as the devious Blair Waldorf on the hit show “Gossip Girl,” but Leighton Meester proved to be quite the talented actress in her latest movie “Country Strong".

The 24-year-old recently sat down with MTV News and explained that, although she’s not even a country singer, she worked closely with her very own music producer to perfect her role as a country singing beauty queen.

"I think it was really surprising how everything kind of came together," Meester said of the training. "Each of us got our own producers to work with and mine [Nathan Chapman], he works very closely with Taylor Swift, which is sort of similar, in the same vein of the music that I'm making in the movie.”

Revealing her new love for Nashville, TN, Leighton added, "Just being in Nashville and working there and meeting the most incredible musicians and producers and songwriters and singers, just being in that world was really cool," the "Gossip Girl" star said. "I have this newfound appreciation for that style of music."

Leighton Meester has been working really hard lately.
