Heidi Montag Is Taking Control Of Her Career

If you thought Heidi Montag agonized about firing her husband Spencer Pratt as her manager, think again.

"I kind of just woke up one morning and was like, 'You know, you’re fired, but have a great day and I’ll talk to you soon,' " Montag says in an interview scheduled to air on The Tonight Show Friday night.

Turns out, the change worked for her. "After that is when I got all my movie roles," Montag tells Jay Leno, referring to her part in the upcoming Just Go With It, which costars Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. "I said, 'This is working, this is great!' You know, I think I'm better handling [my business affairs] myself."

Montag, of course, then hired a Malibu-based psychic named Aiden Chase to be her manager – only to fire him soon after. Again, she doesn't seem too broken up about the decision.

"Yeah, and now he's fired," Montag says. "So, I'm just on my own."

Why the change?

"It just wasn’t feeling right," she tells Leno. "I just wanted to be in charge as a woman in my own business. I don’t really want men telling me what to do and where to go so I said, 'You know what? As a woman I’m going to take control of my career.' "

On Friday, Heidi Montag told Leno, she doesn't think she has a problem with plastic surgery. "When you're addicted to something, you have to do it every day," she says. "And thank God I don't do it every day. I like to do it all in one day. I like to knock it out."

So, would she consider having more surgery?

"I think I've reached the point [where I can stop]," she says. "I think I'm good for awhile. I'm surger-ied out."

Heidi Montag to Fire Psychic/Manager

Heidi Montag has fired Aiden Chase, a Malibu-based psychic whom she hired last week to replace husband Spencer Pratt as her manager.

On Monday, Montag, 23, began shooting a cameo in the comedy Just Go With It, starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman. When reached for comment, Montag's rep told Us Thursday: "Aiden had nothing to do with securing Heidi's role in the movie."

But a source tells Us that Montag was "horrified" when he showed up on set, "demanding a significant portion of her Hills money."

The source adds that when Chase, 40, recently followed her as she filmed MTV's The Hills, he tried to "move onto Audrina [Patridge]," whom he not only offered his healing/spiritual services but also asked to be her manager, the insider tells Us.

Said the source: "He's this creepy older guy who is clearly preying on these young girls. It's awful."

The source adds that fame is going to Chase's head: He is has now hired his mother as his manager, claiming she once served as Halle Berry's manager, says the source.

"The guy thinks he's famous now -- it's ridiculous," said the source. "He's referring to himself as the most famous psychic in the world."

UPDATE:  Aiden Chase issued the following statement to Access Hollywood: “At this time, I am not aware of any change in my business relationship with Heidi Montag. I have read a couple of recent stories online and have no knowledge about any of the information that was attributed to a source close to Heidi.”

UPDATE PART 2: Spencer has just confirmed via Twitter that Aiden Chase has been fired: "too bad heidis Psy-chic is fired i would love to channel :) James Madison and ask him about American politics in 2010 and Health care."

MTV: 'Spencer Pratt will be part of Hills'

Spencer Pratt is still involved in the sixth season of MTV's The Hills, according to a spokesperson for the network.

The reality star recently suggested that he had chosen to take a break from the series in order to focus on his "newfound passion" of fighting cyber crime, claiming that he had been inspired by President Obama's cyber security plans.

However, speaking to MTV News, a representative for MTV appeared to confirm that Pratt will still be present when the show returns.

"Spencer will still be a part of The Hills season six, which will air this spring," the spokesperson is quoted as saying.

No further details were given.

Pratt's wife and co-star Heidi Montag recently announced that she has replaced him as her manager, instead choosing to hire psychic Aiden Chase.

Heidi's Psychic Manager: I Hear Dead People

Skeptics, beware: Aiden Chase knows what you're thinking, and it's not just because he's psychic.

The new manager for Heidi Montag accepts and understands that not everybody's onboard with his profession – he's called a "healer and intuitive" – and he's OK with that. In fact, he's in the OK business. He helps people feel better about themselves and guide their futures – futures, he says, he can often see (unless sports bets are on the line). He also says he has the ability to communicate with spirits, including dead celebrities.

From PEOPLE's chat with the Malibu-based man who'll now be overseeing Montag's career instead of her husband Spencer Pratt, here are six things you need to know about Aiden Chase:

1. He's a Recent Part of Montag's Life:
"One of my clients referred me to Spencer and Heidi. I went up to their house, just after Heidi's surgery, doing healing work, energy clearing, helping put their future paths on the map. For about a month, Heidi has been asking me: 'Be my manager.' When I really thought about it, really meditated, I realized I have been doing the job anyway. They had been consulting with me, [asking]: 'What do you think about this?' It had been working for them."

2. "It" Is Sort of Like What Mom Used to Do:
"I'm a healer and intuitive. What that means is I'm able to channel healing energy. How I like to describe that is love energy. How your mom wipes your brow and you feel better – she's actually sending her healing energy to you," he says. "What we do with a healing is we set an intention and put that into effect by stating or saying: If you ask for it, it will come. I channel in the energy and it neutralizes what needs to be cleared, whether it be mind, body or spirit."

3. Yes, He Knows Some People Think He's Nuts:
"I'm the biggest skeptic of them all. I'm skeptical of people who do my work, too. I'm OK with that. People have different opinions. That's great. I love what I do. A lot of people enjoy and receive great benefits. Sometimes, enlightenment is not taught, it's caught. So you can't push it on people. If you want to, and it feels right, then great."

4. He Can See the Future:
"First and foremost I'm intuitive. I'm using that gut instinct, that third eye that we all have. I just have a heightened sense of intuition."

5. He Speaks to Spirits, Some of them Famous:
"Gene Kelly is one. He represented himself to me about a year ago. I kind of got a picture in my head of him. One of my iPods just switched to different songs, which is an interesting paranormal phenomenon, and on came a song from An American in Paris. I was like: 'Oh. I listened and paid attention,' and he goes, 'Hey, brother boy, this is Gene Kelly, I'm here to help you.' … Ever since he whispers in my ear a little help. It's really an amazing, cool and beautiful thing."

Heidi Montag Seeks New Management

They’re quite the dynamic duo when it comes to getting publicity, but Spencer Pratt is no longer managing Heidi Montag’s career.

According to a report, the “Hills” lovers have decided to enlist a Malibu-based psychic named Aiden Chase to handle the job.

Heidi explained, “After the incredible experiences I have had healing my life and truly connecting to my dreams with healer intuitive Aiden Chase, I have officially asked him to become my manager. Having an intuitive psychic leading my team gives me an edge no one else has."

“No longer is my husband the face of my business or managing my career. I am going to have Aiden Chase help manage my new life and career in a very different and positive way with light and love. The time for change is now. Never mix business and pleasure. We are no longer Speidi but Spencer and Heidi.”
