With her first break from touring in nearly eight years, Fergie has some big plans.

"Spending more time with my husband (Josh Duhamel) and dogs!" the singer told Us Magazine at her 36th birthday celebration at Vegas' Bank club Friday night.

Time with Duhamel, 38, means breaking out the record collection.

"My husband and I like playing music from our childhood," says Fergie. "Music which makes a difference to us. It's a bonding thing. It's nice to share music from your past with someone you love because you learn a lot more about the person."

The downtime will also likely include an annual visit to the Transformers star's parents place in North Dakota.

"I love the accent," says Fergie. "Everything is 'oh yeah.' And I'm always an Eskimo. They're all in t-shirts and I'm wearing three layers which is quite funny. They're just amazing people."

So what did Duhamel get his wife of two years for her birthday (the actual day is Sunday).

Says the singer: "He took my mom, myself, and her husband to Morton's for dinner," she says. "It was on St. Patrick's Day."

The Black Eyed Peas are ready to rock the Kids' Choice Awards.

Fergie and her band will perform a medley of their hottest hits on the April 2 Nickelodeon telecast, Us Magazine can exclusively reveal.

"I'm so stoked for the Kids' Choice Awards," Fergie tells Us exclusively. "I hope we don't get slimed!"

The six-time Grammy Award winners will join previously announced performers Big Time Rush. Singer-actress Victoria Justice will headline the Awards' pre-show on-air and online.

Among this year's honorees? Justin Bieber, who is nominated for Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Song for "Baby."

"My life was changed by fans and by kids like me clicking on my videos and letting me chase a dream. Once again those same kids are there and I am forever grateful," Never Say Never's Bieber, 17, told Us at the time of his nomination announcement.

Viewers can cast their vote for the award show's 20 categories -- including Favorite TV Show and Favorite (Movie) Butt-Kicker -- on Nick.com.

Comedian Jack Black is set to host the annual awards fete, airing live April 2 at 8 p.m. (EST) on Nickelodeon.
