Looking to get a little wild, Whitney Port celebrated her 26th birthday in Las Vegas on Friday night (March 4).

Whitney Port has typically kept her personal life out of the spotlight – but the former City and Hills starlet can't hold back when it comes to gushing about Ben Nemtin, her Buried Life beau of almost a year.

"I think he embodies all of the qualities of the perfect boyfriend," Port, 25, told PEOPLE Thursday night at a PEOPLE StyleWatch party at Decades boutique in L.A.

"I think we're just really open and honest with each other," says the reality starlet, clothing designer and Genuine Ken host. "We tell each other everything that goes on and everything that we're feeling everyday, and we're just really there for each other."

Above all else, Port believes the best part about her fellow MTV reality star is how much he listens.

"I think trust is super important for a boyfriend," she says. "I think some of my previous relationships were probably less mature. Guys grow up a lot slower than [women] do. I'll just put it that way."

Life isn’t slowing down for reality star Whitney Port, whose Hulu Web series Genuine Ken starts next week and lifestyle guide True Whit is out next month.

In 2011, Whitney, 25, hopes to clock more hours with her family.

“My New Year’s resolution is spending more time with my grandparents,” she says during the PUMA BodyTrain collection launch held this week at NYC’s Lady Foot Locker. “It sounds really nerdy, but it’s something I need to do, and I have such a busy schedule.”

She’s also planning for her future. She swears off Playboy after a sexy Maxim shoot, saying, “There’s a certain tasteful aspect to Maxim. I’m covered up. I don’t feel comfortable baring it all.”

But Whitney, who has been dating Buried Life star Ben Nemtin for the past year, doesn’t put pressure on hitting certain milestones like getting married before she hits 30.

“Professionally, I’d still like to be designing my clothing line and have that prosper and be around. Other than that, I have no idea. I can’t plan that far in advance. But I’d definitely like to have a family – yeah, for sure – but when, I have no idea. I go with the flow.”

 

What is her relationship like now with her former Hills co-stars Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag?

“I think everyone is happy doing their own thing,” she tells me. “I think everyone’s doing pretty well.”

Whitney Port and Lo Bosworth may have not hung out much on The Hills, but both could have a possible engagement in the near future.

Lo mention that her beau, Scott Hochstadt is getting ready to propose and is asking for a 3.5 karat diamond in a round or emerald and a very simple band.

Whitney also says that she would not be surprised if she and beau, Ben Nemtin, got engaged in the next six months, friends say her beau fits her like a glove.

Whitney and Lo seem to be in a rush to get married unlike their BFF Lauren Conrad who does have a boyfriend but is in no rush to get to the alter.

There is that possibility that Whitney and Lo need another occupation in their busy lives because both do not have TV shows anymore and are in need of quick fulfillment.

Nothing is certain on whether this is a long term answer for the two former Hills stars, but at least Lauren's got enough career aspects on her plate to wait and be married.
